Uccello Brothers opens new pizzeria in east Grand Rapids
The former Papa John’s restaurant in the Eastown neighborhood of Grand Rapids is taking on new life as a local pizzeria.
Ucello Brothers will open Franca’s pizzeria in Eastown
Formerly Papa John’s, the new pizzeria is near Lake Drive, and between Tamale’s Mary and Phlōt.
Franca’s Pizzeria is part of the full-service food business of the Uccello brothers, Flo’s collectionwhich includes Flo’s Pizzeria Ristorante & Sports Bar in Belmont and Greenville, Flo’s Wood Fired Pizzeria in Rockford, Flo’s Pizzeria in Plainfield and West Michigan Catering Concepts.
The new restaurant is named after Davide and Dan’s mother, Franca.
Pizzas, pastas, subs and more at Franca’s Pizzeria
So, what can we expect to eat at Franca’s Pizzeria? According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, “Franca’s Pizzeria specializes in artisanal, fresh, Sicilian-inspired dishes.”
The menu will include pizzas, pastas, appetizers, subs and wraps.
I hope they also serve Stromboli — because Flo’s Stromboli looks delicious!
When will Franca’s pizzeria open?
Renovations are underway in the new restaurant. The owners recently unveiled the Franca’s Pizzeria logo.
Although an exact opening day has not been announced, wooden tv 8 reports that the owners’ goal is to open in April.
