Tesco, Lidl and Greggs issue urgent warning to customers over health fears

Tesco and Sainsbury’s are part of supermarkets urging customers not to eat food found in store and to bring it back to the point of sale as soon as possible.

lidl and Iceland are also issuing urgent product recalls due to health concerns with popular foods and drinks in UK stores.

Food allergies and choking hazards are among the reasons for the recall of a number of foods by suppliers.

Tesco issues advice on Frey Bentos Chicken Pie

Tesco has decided to warn shoppers about a popular product sold in stores which could pose a significant health risk if consumed.

A product recall has been issued for Frey Bentos Chicken Pot Pies over concerns they may contain plastic.

Baxters Food Group, the company that owns Frey Bentos, issued the recall last week from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) warning that the possible presence of plastic makes the product unsafe to eat.
