How do you know if your child has a food allergy?

An allergic reaction occurs when the body’s immune system considers a certain food to be harmful and reacts by causing symptoms. The first thing to do is to stop giving your child that particular food or anything in the same category. For example, if your child has reacted to cashews, avoid all nuts until you see a doctor for a further diagnosis.

What are the treatment options for food allergies?
