California mom says son was vaccinated at school by bribing him with pizza

California mother speaks out after her son’s school allegedly vaccinated him without his consent.

Maribel Duarte said her 13-year-old son returned from Barack Obama Global Prep Academy in South Los Angeles with a vaccination card after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The teenager’s mom says he was bribed with pizza to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

“I should have been involved,” Duarte said in an interview with NBC Los Angeles. “The lady who injected him and signed the paper said to my son, ‘Please don’t say anything. I don’t want to be in trouble.

“It hurts to know that he was shot without my permission, without knowing it and without signing papers for him to be shot,” Duarte said.

The Los Angeles Unified School District website has various posts urging parents to immunize their children before the New Year begins.

According to the website, any child under the age of 12 should be vaccinated and if they are not and have no exemption by that date, they will have to attend classes virtually.

“Watch out for families of students aged 12 or over, this is your reminder to have your child vaccinated,” the statement read. “Your first dose must be uploaded to Daily Pass no later than December 19, 2021. Both doses must be uploaded by January 10, 2022!”

School-aged children can be vaccinated safely.

The CDC has now approved the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5 to 11. Children and adolescents who are fully immunized can safely resume their pre-pandemic activities.

However, Duarte said she should have been informed that the school was giving her son the COVID-19 vaccine.

Duarte herself received the vaccine, but did not want her son to be vaccinated because he has asthma and suffers from allergies.

“Regarding the health of my son, I am against it. He has asthma and allergy issues, ”Duarte said, fearing the vaccine would put him at increased risk for rare but potentially serious side effects.

While some people with asthma have reported that their asthma symptoms worsened after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, no current research supports these claims.

However, like other people who have been vaccinated, people with asthma may experience temporary side effects that are expected for 1 to 2 days after receiving their dose of the vaccine.

The greatest risk is that people with moderate to severe asthma will contract COVID-19 and need to be hospitalized because the rate is higher in such people.

Lawyer Jennifer Kennedy, who closely follows the LAUSD vaccination mandate, told NBC Los Angeles that the problem is that children in California cannot consent to the vaccination.

In the United States, there is no federal informed consent requirement for vaccination of any kind, according to the CDC.

But each state has its own rules for parental consent when it comes to getting their children vaccinated.

In nearly every district in California, students under the age of 18 can only get the vaccine with parental consent, although San Francisco allows children aged 12 and over to decide for themselves.
